Anthony David Gonzalez is a former American football tight end, who played in the National Football League for 17 seasons. Gonzalez is regarded as one of the best tight ends in history. Additionally, he was the leader in receiving yards, and the third in total receptions, Gonzalez was the NFL tight end who had the most receptions.
Tony Gonzalez, former All-Pro tight-end with the Kansas City Chiefs as well as the Atlanta Falcons, is currently employed at the studio of FOX. Gonzalez has appeared as a guest on FOX NFL KICKOFF (FOX's one-hour NFL pregame show prior to FOX NFL SUNRISE) and is broadcast every Sunday morning at 11:00 am ET throughout the NFL season.
Gonzalez's claims of retiring in the NFL at the end of the year 2013 wasn't true. The 15th of March, 2013, Gonzalez signed with Falcons a 2-year contract for $14,000,000. Randy Moss' retirement meant that Gonzalez was the NFL's leader of receiving yards in the final time in his career.
